Our creative endeavors currently include making kinetic art, mosaics and mosaic tools, art bots and mechanical sculptures. We both enjoy repurposing computer hardware and mixing media to challenge conceptions and surprise the eye.
Our mosaic chopper
Perfect for cutting marble, stone and smalti, ideal for making precision cuts for mosaic. Cutting blades close with 1/2 ton pressure, it takes very little effort to cut, much easier and accurate cuts compared to hammer-hardy.
Our blades are made of high speed cobalt steel, are replaceable and can be sharpened. It can cut harder stones and smalti for precision work.
Price is $490, extra blades are $40 each set.
USPS handling, shipping and insurance is $50. At this time not able to ship outside US.
Our hand chopper
Designed to cut material into very small pieces for micro mosaic. This an improvement on the standard wheel cutter for accuracy and holding the material that you are cutting.
The blades are made of carbide and sharpened in a diamond wheel, they should not need sharpening under normal use.
It is good for material less than 5mm or 3/16” and it is the easiest to use.
The price for the hand chopper is $120.
The blades have two cutting ends and can be replaced if needed for $50/set.
